Ant-Man And The Wasp Trailer Reactions: 8 Ups & 4 Downs

2. Does This Mean He's Not In Infinity War Much?!

Obviously this trailer wasn't going to spoil Infinity War in any way, but it also does very little to stop confusion over how it fits into the timeline, particularly with the Infinity War prelude comic muddying the waters.

From this trailer, it appears that Scott returns home immediately after Civil War to look after his daughter Cassie (and because he feels guilty for putting people he loves in danger) and ends up on the run. At some point he and the others are captured and he's tagged.

But what about Infinity War? This almost feels like it immediately follows Civil War, rather than Thanos' invasion, which would make sense in line with the prequel comic, which has Scott Lang returning home to his family. How that detail would fit with him then leaving to go and fight Thanos and THEN returning again and being captured is clunky at best. So is this actually set BEFORE Infinity War? If so, why isn't The Wasp in Infinity War? Was that just a lie?

And if it's set before Infinity War, why bring it out after? Maybe it is set after and Scott Lang just mostly sits Infinity War out (apart from a little holiday of some sort)?

Even just thinking about it is massively confusing.
