3. That Weird Final Scene

The final scene before the credits is simply weird as hell - it might even be the strangest end-scene of any MCU movie to date.

With Kang vanquished and life seemingly back to normal, Scott is back on top of the world again. Yet he can't knock the nagging feeling that by defeating Kang he has only set the universe up for something much worse, as Kang himself hinted at.

Scott attempts to forget about it as we cut to him taking Cassie out for a fake birthday meal to make up for all the birthdays he missed during the Blip.

Scott takes a bite into his dessert, and just as we expect something to happen, he simply recoils in disgust at the food in his mouth and the scene abruptly cuts to the credits.

Clearly this was supposed to be a fun joke in the vein of the MCU's other abrupt cut-to-credits gags, while trolling audiences who expected Kang to make a last-minute appearance, yet the tone of the whole scene just strikes an odd note.

It doesn't quite work, and doesn't really send audiences out on a fun or exciting note.
