13. M.O.D.O.K. Is Darren Cross

Before Kylar dies, he reveals that Kang has deployed a Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing (M.O.D.O.K.) to capture the heroes, and it's subsequently revealed that M.O.D.O.K. is none other than Scott's archnemesis from the first Ant-Man movie, Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket (Corey Stoll).

Despite seemingly dying when Scott sabotages his suit in the first film, Darren reveals that he survived and was eventually found by Kang, who kitted him out in a robotic, levitating chassis.

It's a neat idea, though the decision to basically just squeeze Corey Stoll's CGI face into the M.O.D.O.K. suit gives the character an extremely uncanny, even nightmarish appearance that's already proven quite divisive with fans.

Throw in the fact that he's reduced to a joke character who everybody else simply calls Darren, and we even get to see his ass during the flashback where Kang finds him, and the movie's whole conception of M.O.D.O.K. is just profoundly weird - often not in a good way.
