Aquaman: 10 Things Fans Demand Most

From adopted dolphin child to son of an underwater wizard, Aquaman has had maybe the most origin stories of any superhero. That said, the film version - while having some strong similarities to the Silver Age origin story - appears to not totally follow any single version of these.

In fact, what little we see of Aquaman’s backstory looks uncannily like the beginning of Harry Potter, complete with young boy discovering he has magical powers through an animal. This similarity should mean good things, because a solid origin story is fundamental to making a solid superhero film. More importantly, seeing the origin of how Aquaman came to be ruler of Atlantis is probably even more important, because it sets up a place that is sure to be important in many other films.

As such, it should be incredibly interesting to see what beginnings have been designed for the King of Atlantis this time around – although hopefully, they have significantly less dolphin love interests.
