3. Let's Stop Fighting To Kiss

The climactic battle is like a hellstorm under the sea. We see crab people fighting Orm's combined army, sharks fighting giant crustaceans, monstrous beasts wading in to eat hundreds of baddies at a time... And in the middle of it, Mera and Arthur stop to have a conversation about how they need to cease the needless killing and have Arthur battle Orm one-on-one.

Clearly, this is a pressing issue, as the bodycount is rising rapidly - as proved by the explosions and battles going on behind them as they discuss it.

Ridiculously, though, the pair take THIS moment to kiss romantically, lingering long enough for the camera to do a full 360 around them, juxtaposing their love against the violence of the battle to state some sort of message that ends up getting a bit lost. Imagine how furious you'd be as a soldier watching your commanders stopping to have a bit of a kiss while your fellow grunts are being eaten by sharks.
