Army Of The Dead: Every Crew Member Ranked Worst To Best
6. Vanderohe
This list has almost hit the halfway point, so it feels appropriate to discuss a character who sits pretty in the middle of this film. He's charming and interesting enough to grab your attention but has such a lack of personality and spotlight that he mostly floats by unnoticed.
Vanderohe was the second person recruited onto the crew and seemed set to be a major player in the film. He already made a massive impression in the eye-catching opening scene thanks to his fantastic signature weapon - a giant saw - and came across as likeable right away thanks to his introduction as a carer for the elderly. But, any sense of character and charm you found with his intro soon dissipated.
It's not that Vanderohe does anything bad; he's just bland. The only exciting changes he experiences are his blooming friendship with Dieter and the post-movie twist that he's been infected and might be bringing the virus to the rest of the country. Otherwise, he's a serviceable henchman.
This character could have been a lot better, as Omari Hardwick did a great job with him and his signature weapon was a lot of fun. Sadly, you weren't given any reason to invest, so he felt ultimately unimportant.
