Army Of The Dead: Every Crew Member Ranked Worst To Best
5. Martin
In a zombie movie, it's normally quite evident that the real villains are the monsters trying to devour everyone's flesh. But, filmmakers can find a lot of success in adding human antagonists into the mix too, and that's something that Army of the Dead did well.
Martin was introduced to the crew as the head of security for their employer Bly Tanaka, and although his expertise seemed helpful, he mainly caused problems. It was clear from the get-go that he'd be a thorn in the mission's side and had his eyes on a different prize, so when he betrayed and caused Chambers' death, it came as no surprise.
While Martin was a little generic - as his motive was purely monetary and he wasn't too complex - he worked because of the excellent performance from Garrett Dillahunt. This performer was great at making you hate him, as his backstabbing nature was always bubbling at the surface, and when it finally came out, you saw how selfish he really was.
Then, like a perfect cherry on top, his eventual demise was brutal and satisfying as he fell victim to the zombie tiger. It was a great note to send off a solid baddie.
