2. Howard Langston - Jingle All The Way (1996)
Im not a huge follower of Christmas at the best of times, and especially so when a movie forcibly rams it down your throat like its trying to murder you with it. In a straight action role, Arnie is (or at least was in his day) youre prime choice. But I doubt a role like Howard Langston in Jingle All The Way could have been saved even if Orson Welles was somehow cast, so Arnie has literally no chance. Its not the hes bad hes just the same as he always is, its Arnie but theres nothing in the script, or in the direction, for him to use with his skill as a muscle-bound action veteran and so hes often awkward and unbelievable, like hes not comfortable in his own skin. A bad performance, but then again, its a terrible movie too so can he blamed?
