Arnold Schwarzenegger: 5 Awesome Performances & 5 That Sucked

4. Adam Gibson - The 6th Day (2000)

It€™s tough to blame Arnie for a bad performance, because he essentially turns every role with that same broad, broken up delivery. Sometimes it works phenomenally well, but getting the best from Arnie usually requires that perfect script/director combo. The 6th Day definitely didn€™t have either. Arnie€™s character is universally uninteresting here, and I don€™t know if it€™s just me, but he seems to be really half-assing it throughout, which is saying something, consider he€™s half-assed just about every other role he€™s had that wasn't Commando or a James Cameron movie. In all honesty, 6th Day has Schwarzenegger written all over it, but just didn€™t quite have the cutting edge necessary to elevate Arnie above mediocrity.
