Arnold Schwarzenegger: Every Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
16. Eraser (1996)
With a script that went through so many writers and multiple revisions, it was surprising that Eraser managed to turn out as such an entertaining action flick. While its hardly the greatest entry in the genre by any means, the movie features enough interesting ideas and exciting set-pieces to rank as one of the better entries of Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1990's filmography. The Austrian Oak isn't really required to much outside of his usual 'shoot and quip' wheelhouse, but the movie benefits from a strong supporting cast and the fact that it never takes itself too seriously. Similarly, the increasing improvements in CGI effects allow the filmmakers to craft a genuinely thrilling mid-air action scene, and get their star to dual-wield some bad-ass railguns. Oh, and Arnie shoots an alligator. In the face.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
