14. The Expendables 2 (2012)
Whereas the first Expendables suffered from taking itself far too seriously, the sequel became increasingly self-aware, ironically much like Skynet. While the self-parody frequently comes off as overdone and unnecessary, a series of bloody and violent shootouts featuring some of the biggest action stars in history more than make up for these shortcomings. Schwarzenegger spent just four days on set and as a result only appears in a handful of scenes, but he is more than happy to trade on his former glories to entertain. If Terry Crews threatening to 'terminate' him and having the Austrian Oak announce that he was back or mutter 'yippe-ki-yay' are a little on the nose, then seeing Arnie, Sly and Bruce Willis side by side gunning down row after row of interchangeable henchman provides pure fan-pleasing entertainment.
