Arnold Schwarzenegger: Every Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
26. Conan The Destroyer (1984)
Arnold Schwarzenegger's first contractually-obligated sequel saw the actor return to the role that had put him on the map in Hollywood. However, Conan the Destroyer toned down the violence and upped the humor from the original, resulting in a follow-up that was more light-hearted, and ultimately not as good as its predecessor. In order to maximize profits, the movie was re-cut during post-production to secure a PG-13 rating, which turned out to be a wise financial decision as the sequel earned roughly $100m at the worldwide box office. Featuring an incredibly random cast including Schwarzenegger, Grace Jones, Wilt Chamberlain and a cameoing Andre the Giant, the sequel's family-friendly rating gave the whole thing a campier and overly cheesy tone, despite the occasional bursts of violence.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
