Assassin's Creed 3: 10 Improvements That Make It The Best In The Series

6. Crowd Barging

Anyone who played the last handful of games will tell you that nothing was more than falling over as a result of sprinting in a crowd, especially when you were in the middle of something hectic like escaping a gang of guards. I do get it - it rings true to reality that sprinting in crowds would in a fall - but I just shelled out £40 on a video game, not an reminder of how gravity works. Of course, I'm being too harsh. It was annoying, sure, but it was a relatively minor annoyance which was compensated for by the overall standard of the game. However, with that said I was honestly pleasantly surprised to see this whole thing removed from AC III entirely, with Connor now simply barging and dodging oncoming civilians in style. Again, Assassin's Creed is all about flow, about smoothness - always has been - which is why the whole 'clumsily falling over' thing always seemed to stick out like a sore thumb. I'm happy to see Ubisoft dispense with it; it made my time with AC III just that much more satisfying.
