The Nova Corps are set to appear in this year's Guardians of the Galaxy, with the likes of John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Peter Serafinowicz all playing officers in the intergalactic organisation. However, the most prominent Nova Corps soldier - Richard Rider - has yet to be confirmed for an appearance (though there are numerous actors whose role has yet to be specified but, as things stand, the classic Nova character would be a new inclusion in a movie). Nova was there for the final battle in the Infinity Gauntlet comic arc and his vast array of powers (flight, superhuman physical attributes, energy manipulation, gravity control, wormhole creation etc) would help massively with the heroes' attempt to bring Thanos down. The aforementioned inclusion of the Nova Corps in the next Marvel Cinematic Universe outing would mean that his appearance alongside the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy would be feasible and easily written in.
