Avengers 4: 10 Rumours We Hope Aren't True

There's compelling evidence from set leaks to suggest Avengers 4 will be a time travel movie, in which the surviving heroes journey to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's past to prevent Thanos from triggering that mass extinction event.

Reddit user ilurkthings has added context to this by explaining that the movie focuses on the Avengers putting together a second Infinity Gauntlet, and revisiting the events of the previous movies to obtain each of the Infinity Stones before Thanos.

The poster's claims are being treated with a degree of credibility, since they claim to be a Marvel Studios insider and have apparently backed this up by revealing Infinity War spoilers on the social news services ahead of that film's release.

ilurkthings goes on to claim that the movie's climactic scene sees the Hulk wield this new Infinity Gauntlet, only to lose his arm as a consequence. Could Bruce Banner's Hulkbuster armour losing its arm in Infinity War have been foreshadowing this event?

Let's hope not, because giving the Hulk a weapon with the power to end the universe just doesn't make sense. It would seem like a plothole if the more level-headed Avengers allowed their hot-headed teammate to step up and glove up.

Surely the likes of Steve Rogers, Captain Marvel and Iron Man would be more suitable candidates for gauntlet duty, if it ends up coming to that.
