Avengers 4: 10 Things Fans Demand

1. Earth's Mightiest Heroes Return (At A Cost)

Though it in no way removes any of the weight, drama or emotion from Infinity War's climax, it's likely that most of the characters who turned to dust upon Thanos' snap will return in Avengers 4. They have to, and while there's every chance Marvel could double down on those deaths, we know for a fact that Black Panther, Spider-Man and Doctor Strange, in particular, all have to return - they're the future of the franchise.

But this doesn't mean that their returns won't come at a cost. Red Skull already established that the soul stone required "that which one loves", and if all their souls are trapped in that realm, then surely some sacrifice will be required. This ties-in with Cap's earlier comments of not "trading lives", but faced with the chance of bringing back all that was lost, Steve Rogers - the man who willingly threw himself onto a grenade during his training - is liable to step up to the task at hand.

What's important to remember is that Avengers 4 is likely to be just as, if not more, emotionally torrid than Infinity War. This would be the case even without those aforementioned deaths, as features like Toy Story 3, Logan and The Last Jedi all managed to impart a lasting impact just by representing a period of transition, but still, Avengers 4 is likely to boast some deaths - ones just as permanent as Infinity War's pre-snap.

There has to be tragedy - everyone knows this - but in ensuring Avengers 4 sticks its landing, those returns have to feel earned.
