9. Classic MCU Moments Are Revisited

It's been widely speculated that Avengers 4 will revolve significantly around the surviving Avengers finding a way to travel back through time in order to prevent Thanos from acquiring the Infinity Stones.

The Russo brothers have even hinted that Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) Binary Augmented Retro-Framing (B.A.R.F.) technology from Captain America: Civil War may somehow result in the heroes being able to alter the past.

Without getting specific, set leaks from A4 do point to a collision between the past and the present, and the likelihood that a number of classic MCU moments will be revisited, namely The Avengers' Battle of New York. Meanwhile, the Battle of Sokovia remains a distinct possibility (resurrecting Quicksilver [Aaron Taylor-Johnson] in the process?) and perhaps even Civil War's iconic airport battle.

Quite how returning to these moments would allow the Avengers to defeat Thanos remains to be seen, but if they're going to go the time travel route - which they clearly are - they may as well have some fun with it.
