8. Hawkeye Finally Gets His Due

Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) is by far the most under-served of the six main Avengers, and even though he enjoyed greater character development in Avengers: Age of Ultron, he's still widely ridiculed for being a bit, well, boring.

Granted, just about anyone would pale in comparison to four epic superheroes and Scarlett Johansson, but still, many Marvel fans are crossing their fingers and toes that he'll finally come into his own in the next movie.

After all, Hawkeye was conspicuously absent throughout Infinity War, apparently being under house arrest with his family. The Russos have talked about Clint Barton being on his own mission throughout these two films, which combined with pervasive rumours about him becoming the one-man army known as Ronin, suggest his family was probably disintegrated in the snap.

Avengers 4 can finally give Hawkeye his time to shine, transforming him into an ultra-bada** ninja with nothing left to lose as he attempts to save his family. Renner's a terrifically capable actor, so hopefully he'll finally get the dramatically urgent material he deserves.
