7. It's Set Five Years Later

The Rumour

Rather than just being set a year after the snap and following the real world timeline between the movies, it seems Avengers 4 might be set five years after the end of Infinity War. In that time, the survivors will have been working on a means to harness time travel to go back and stop Thanos.

As further evidence of a skip to the future, That Hashtag Show, reported that Emma Fuhrmann was being cast as Cassie Lang, suggesting she will now be a teenager in Avengers 4. Considering she's played by a 10-year-old in Ant-Man And The Wasp, that would fit the 5-year difference.

It's certainly a possibility since undoing something that huge immediately robs it of all drama. Instead, seeing the Avengers getting on with life and then suddenly finding there's a possibility of going back to undo it. Now THAT is drama.
