The same report from We Got This Covered claims that, as well as releasing in 2023, Avengers 5 will be a much more grounded affair, and on a far smaller scale than both Infinity War and Endgame. Really, it would be almost impossible to beat either of these movies for size, so this is no surprise.
After the third and fourth Avengers movies all but completed the Infinity Saga, the MCU is now in the process of building toward something big again. An Avengers movie with just three years of build up from Black Widow will likely feature as a chapter in a much wider story, rather than the conclusion of one.
The report mentions that Avengers 5 will be more like Age of Ultron in scale. While it seems bizarre to call a movie where the entire planet is in danger of destruction small, compared to the wider scope of the entire MCU, it is.
Since it will likely be an all new roster of heroes, a smaller scale will allow the opportunity to build the team properly, but who exactly will make up the latest iteration of the Avengers?
