7. Stark Subconscious Summons His Armour (Iron Man 3)

Iron Man 3 saw Tony Stark suffering from post-traumatic stress, following the events of the first Avengers movie in which he saved the world from an alien invasion by dumping a nuclear bomb through a space portal. As a result, his disturbing dreams resulted in him summoning his armour in the middle of the night - much to the distress of Pepper Potts, who was frightened half to death when it appeared before her when he was in bed. This was the first sign that Tony's inventions could actually escape from his control and prove harmful to both him and those around him - which is exactly what happens with Ultron, in spite of the fact that Stark had created him and the countless drones with protecting the Earth in mind.
