8. The Chitauri Hive Mind (The Avengers)

There are going to be thousands of Ultron drones in Avengers: Age of Ultron. In fact, if some rumours are to be believed, there may actually be a number of different types, each with different ranks, powers and abilities. While they might not individually be able to stand up to the likes of Hulk and Thor, it would be very hard to believe that the Avengers would be able to take every single one of them down individually - especially considering that they are set to swarm the globe - so the easy way out when it comes to defeating them will be via the concept of a hive mind. As it happens, that concept has already been utilised in the first Avengers movies - something that is more than likely to have foreshadowed the defeat of Ultron and his robotic army (once Ultron is defeated - probably by Vision - his drones will likely collapse en masse on the spot). With Ultron said to have been created via a program found by Tony Stark in the wreckage of the Chitauri invasion, he may well actually end up having somewhat Chitauri origins (if indeed the program found amongst said wreckage is actually alien in origin).
