1. All Of The Trailer Stuff That Wasn't Actually In It
Given that the marketing department are responsible for putting together a trailer - rather than the director, oddly - the Age Of Ultron trailer featured a number of moments that didn't end up in the final movie. Apparently what that team saw as important, or at least hype-friendly, wasn't thought of the same way by Whedon.

Would It Have Worked?
It's hard to say, really. Presumably all of those cuts were part of the editing process down from 3 and a half hours. And if Whedon himself says he only missed one or two small parts of what he cut, then it's hard to argue that they were a bad call.
