Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 15 Obscure Easter Eggs You Probably Missed
2. Laputa
This one is about as hidden as the references in Age Of Ultron come.
In the credits of the movie there's apparently rights notification that states that Marvel attained the rights from Studio Ghibli to use a "Laputa robot".
The link to the fictional land of Laputa, which Gulliver visited on his travels and found an improbable floating island is obvious in the climactic sequence, but is there more to it? The specific reference of a robot suggests that there's something more tangible in there.
It may be that Ultron learns his plan from Laputa: Castle In The Sky, and that the high-speed montage that sees him "learn" how to exist features a brief shot of a robot from the classic animation. For now, the specifics of the mystery remain.
