6. Widow's Sting

What exactly is Black Widow's place in the Avengers? It's a question Chris Evans has reportedly been asking of his own character, with Captain America being a pretty tough guy with his super solider serum, but still not quite at the level of the huge, invincible Hulk, robot flying Iron Man, and literal god Thor. Still, he was ping-ponging between jet fighters and the like in The Winter Soldier. At least he's got a bit of the superhero in him, even if it's not as flashy as the rest of his teammates. Black Widow, meanwhile, is just a person. A person who is probably the best secret agent in the world and capable on taking down the Hulk single-handedly, true, but even when she's kicking ass without the need for any powers, she feels a little out of place. There she had to nab a Chitauri flying bike thing. At least Hawkeye has his arrows, if not a personality. Natasha was sort of lacking in a cool weapon, or power, or whatever. Turns out the rumours are true, though, and Age Of Ultron will see the debut of her Widow's Sting - in the comics the taser-like weapon was in her gauntlets, here it's two electrified sticks.
