Avengers Age Of Ultron Poster: 8 Questions From Details You Might Have Missed

4. Why Does Joss Whedon Hate Thor's Sleeves?

For some reason, Thor's arm armour has only been taken off (during battle at least) for both of the Avengers movies, which seems an odd decision given that his arms aren't actually invincible. Obviously, this could be a functional thing: it's obviously a lot warmer in America than it is on Asgaard, and heavy metal chafes, but it's hard not to think that it's not just a decision to allow Chris Hemsworth a chance to show off his impressive upper body work-out preparation. Thor's costume otherwise is pretty similar to how it appeared in the first Thor film, which makes the decision to take his arms out again all the more confusing, and while it probably comes off as nit-picking, it's clearly a conscious choice by the Avengers film-makers that the Thor teams so far haven't agreed with. But at least Clint isn't the only one now to have his guns blazing in battle (even if he will upgrade to his new long coat for chillier scenes).
