Avengers: Age Of Ultron: 11 Biggest Questions It Leaves Unanswered
2. So Are These The Avengers Now?
One of the biggest surprises in Age Of Ultron comes at the very end. Hawkeye appears to have effectively retired, deciding to look after his secret family a bit more. The Hulk is lost in the ocean over Fiji. Having inexplicably returned to active duty Tony Stark once again retires from the superhero profession (just in time for him to pick it back up again for his co-starring role in Captain America: Civil War). So, the very last shot of Age Of Ultron besides that mid-credits sequence is Captain America and Black Widow assembling a new team, and preparing to whip them into shape. That includes new arrivals Scarlet Witch and The Vision, along with Iron Man supporting character War Machine and Cap's Winter Solider playmate Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon. Does that mean that this is the official Avengers line up, going forward? They never say as much in the film itself Cap barely gets a chance to complete the Avengers, Assemble! line although it's heavily implied. Still, that's interesting; neither Jeremy Renner nor Mark Ruffalo were announcing their retirement from the MCU, and will Infinity War really count Don Cheadle and Anthony Mackie amongst its lead actors?
