Avengers: Age Of Ultron: 11 Biggest Questions It Leaves Unanswered
5. And What Are Scarlet Witch's Abilities?
Quicksilver's powers are evident from the off, even if you didn't see Evan Peters play the same character in X-Men: Days Of Future Past (it's a whole thing; just let the lawyers worry about it). He's fast. Very, very fast. Inhumanly fast. He runs very fast. That's all. That's impressive, obviously, but it doesn't stop him from taking several bullets to the chest during the climactic action scene of Age Of Ultron. So: he's fast, but not indestructible. Not bullet-proof. That's all you need to know, really. What could've used a little more explanation is Scarlet Witch's power set Maria Hill's briefing on the Maximoff twins involves a lot of technical mumbo-jumbo, before settling on Pietro as fast and Wanda as weird. Which...doesn't really explain anything. Over the course of the film she's seen hurling fireballs like a Street Fighter character, making people relive their worst memories/fears during the battle on the dubiously-identified African coast, and makes a load of Ultron drones disintegrate instantly when her brother dies and she freaks out a bit. Also she can maybe fly? Quicksilver seems ludicrously underpowered by comparison.
