6. A Link To The Guardians Of The Galaxy

Although Thanos himself will serve as something of a link between the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, we anticipate a clearer connection to be established in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Guardians of the Galaxy movie comes out this August, and the likelihood is that Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord (played by Chris Pratt) will look to explore his Earthly roots at some point and, initially, this will probably connect him in some way to S.H.I.E.L.D. From that point, the Guardians of the Galaxy as a team will likely become more aware of Earth and at least one of them could well make an appearance in Age of Ultron - at the very least, we expect them to be mentioned by name, either individually or as a team. It is highly probable that the Avengers will need to team up with the Guardians in order to combat Thanos in the third Avengers movie - and for that reason we think a connection of sorts will need to be established in this, the second Avengers movie.
