Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 12 Things To Expect (That We Don't Know Already)

5. A Reference To Hank Pym

We already know that Hank Pym will not be responsible for the creation of Ultron in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - which, of course, he is in the comic books - and that he won't even be in this movie (or at least not the main body of it), but we see it as the perfect opportunity to verbally confirm his existence in this continuity at the very least. Given his strong connection to Ultron in the comics, some kind of Easter egg seems inevitable. Whether he gets a passing mention or whether or not the mid-credits or post-credit scenes include a cameo from the Scientist Supreme, he absolutely must be mentioned. We expect it. We demand it. Hank Pym's titular movie Ant-Man follows Age of Ultron immediately in terms of Marvel Cinematic Universe chronology (with Age of Ultron finalising "Phase 2" and Ant-Man opening "Phase 3"), and this further enhances the expectations that the movie will refer to him in some way.
