2. An Overseer Type Role
Each Avenger has their own special role in the team: Thor the big gun, Black Widow the infiltrator, Hawkeye the sniper, Captain America the master tactician, Bruce Banner the Scientist and occasionally nuclear bomb, and Iron Man the tech genius. The great part about Tony leaving Iron Man? He can still save the world without the need to suit up. Its obvious RDJ is not getting any younger. At nearly 50 years old, performing action scenes take more of toll on the body than ever. And as you can see, he is capable of injuring himself on set. Of course, a stunt double could always take his place, but he enjoys executing his own stunts. We have seen Tony already hack into S.H.I.E.L.D.s database discovering a few of their dark secrets. With his knowledge and power, Tony too provides help to the Avengers by feeding them information from all around the world. Adding to his role, Tony could also control the teams technology and construct new weapons, gadgets, and vehicles. In the animated series, Earths Mightiest Heroes, Tony created a new shield for Captain America after his original was destroyed. In the final scene of the Avengers, we see Tony laying the blueprints for a new Avengers tower complete with rooms for each member, a Quinjet, and other inventions we have yet to see. In other words, Tony can be the teams Quartermaster as well as a mechanic, hacker, and overall tech genius. But as Q would say, Every now and then a trigger has to be pulled. Which leads us to
