Avengers: Age Of Ultron Spoilers - 10 Moments That Are Going To Rule

7. Thor Dies

There's been a lot of speculation concerning what happens to Thor - and specifically how to explain the shot in the first trailer where he seems to be naked and submerged in water. Comic lore fans have suggested that the setting is Valhalla, and that Thor will end up dying at the hands of Ultron, which would make sense (unless it's a dream sequence and a bit of misdirection, of course). What is clear is that Thor doesn't spend all of his time on Earth: the cast list confirms the presence of Asgardians, and while Heimdall is set to appear, the rest of the major players are not (including Loki) so it's reasonable to assume that he's not going back to the Asgardian court. So a God's death would seem the most likely occurrence. At some point, Thor himself actually turns against Tony Stark, so you have to wonder what triggers that. The answer might lie in the uneasy alliance that formed between the Asgardian and Hulk in the first film: perhaps he disagrees with the plan to "get rid of" Bruce? Then again, it might just be that Stark rubs him up the wrong way. It's hardly unheard of.
