8. War Machine

Though he was given the interesting side story of losing the use of his legs in Captain America: Civil War, Rhodey hasn't had a great deal to do across his appearances in the MCU. He's been an important cog in Tony Stark's narrative machine, of course, but he's had pretty much no story of his own other that the paralysis and even that was undone a movie later thanks to technology.

Like it or not, his story could very easily be done and if he's not killed, he's likely to be retired.

How He Could Die

More than any other character - other than Drax, maybe - War Machine suits a "blazing glory" sort of death, because he's a military man who revels in the armoury of his armour. A final stand allowing others to escape while he unveils his enormous proton cannon (which has been rumoured to appear) when Thanos attacks the Avengers HQ would fit.

What Might Save Him?

Probably that his death doesn't serve as much of a purpose as it did at the end of Civil War, when he was saved despite being shot out of the sky. That fall would have scrambled his insides, so maybe he's actually invincible?
