Avengers: Endgame - 10 Scenes Everyone Expected To See (That Didn't Happen)

Hulk’s absence for most of the runtime of Infinity War came from a beating he took from Thanos early in the film. Hulk tried to take on Thanos with the other Asgardians but took a beating that quite literally scared him from showing his face again. Bruce was able to still help, but only once he donned the Hulk-buster armor.

Hulk, or Bruce, or both I guess, decided to show their face for most of Endgame, though. What’s being coined as “Professor Hulk” made an appearance after the time-gap; a concoction of Bruce’s intellect and modesty to wear clothes mixed with Hulk’s green skin and freakishly muscular body. Hulk’s back and we all know the first thing he’s going to do; kick Thanos’ purple ass!

Well, that’s what we thought at least. Not only do they not mention the fight from the previous installment, Thanos and Hulk never even get a blow on one another. As much as audiences would have loved the rematch, an over three-hour film only has time for so much.
