We knew long ago that Gwyneth Paltrow was back for Avengers: Endgame thanks to her appearing in set photos (alongside Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan), but her role in the story wasn't exactly clear.
It seems she's going to be a lot more active than might have been initially expected as she'll be suiting up to join the fight, rather than watching it from the sidelines. Specifically, she'll be pulling on her armour and becoming Rescue, as she did in the comics.
How Do We Know?
The leak comes courtesy of Paltrow herself again, inevitably. Back in 2017, she posted a picture on Instagram showing her getting a foot massage, which also revealed that she was wearing a motion capture suit. The only reason she'd need that would be to play a CG-augmented character, which she then all-but-confirmed with another selfie seemingly showing her wearing the armour.
