Avengers: Endgame - 11 New Heroes It Could Introduce
1. Rescue
Now there are potentially MAJOR SPOILERS ahead for this rumour, and though nothing is concrete until everyone's in the cinema watching Endgame, if you're at all concerned at the prospect of having something spoiled, best look away now.
This is slightly cheating, given that Pepper Potts has been a part of the MCU since it kicked off in 2008's Iron Man, but she's never been a superhero in the traditional sense. Sure, she took on some Extremis powers during Iron Man 3, and even wore the Iron Man armour briefly, but she's never been a hero - at least, not until Endgame.
Currently, it looks as though she will suit up and become Rescue at some point in Endgame. How do we know this? Well Gwyneth Paltrow actually uploaded a picture of herself in a brand new piece of Iron Man armour a few months back, seemingly confirming earlier rumours that had placed the character on the battlefield at one point in the film.
Paltrow's upload was seemingly corroborated by further merchandise leaks for the film, which showcased a sleeker, purple and gold Iron Man armour that definitely doesn't look as though it could house Tony Stark.
It's unclear as to what point in the film Pepper will suit up and join her fellow Avengers, but at least it's safe to say that the design looks great.
