9. Nova

If you haven't watched the expansion of the cosmic MCU and the involvement of the Nova Corps (including the decimation of Xandar) and wished repeatedly that Nova had been introduced as the next space-faring hero, then you're probably in the minority.

James Gunn originally had plans to bring him in, but they didn't come off (presumably because there were ideas on how to use him in the future already brewing) and now is a great time to give fans what they want. Nova's story is now set up perfectly, with his people killed off in Thanos' quest to gain the Power Stone. In fact, waiting too much longer will mean missing the window of opportunity entirely.

The MCU needs Nova and Endgame is the right time to bring him in, though it would have to be the post-credits to give the rest of the stories space to play out fully.
