Avengers: Endgame - 13 Things It Actually Took From The Comics

Thor proclaims Asgard to be a people, not a place, in Thor: Ragnarok, which is fortunate as their old home is obliterated by Surtur. The Asgardian diaspora then searches the cosmos in hope of finding somewhere to settle, which Endgame reveals to be Earth.

Dubbed New Asgard, the settlement seems to be somewhere off the coast of Scotland or Norway, and effectively looks like it's a sleepy fishing village. Unsurprisingly, this whole element was also taken from the comics themselves, when Thor relocated Asgard to the town of Broxton, Oklahoma.

The realm would return to its own a couple of years later, but not before Norman Osborn and H.A.M.M.E.R. led an all-out invasion against it during the events of Siege. This raises a whole host of possibilities for MCU Phase 4, as with Norman already rumoured to be a potential overarching antagonist for the future, and with Asgard now firmly on Earth, Marvel could actually adapt a version of Siege to the big screen.

It's a ways away from happening, but the pieces are there for Marvel to manipulate if they so choose.
