13. A Second Gauntlet Is Forged (And Hulk Loses An Arm)

The Leak

According to multiple sources, the Avengers will set out to make a new gauntlet to house the Infinity Stones (possibly made from pieces of Mjolnir, but possibly just forged on Nidavellir, depending on who you believe).

It will then be revealed that Professor Hulk (the balanced version of Hulk and Bruce Banner) is the only hero capable of wielding the Gauntlet after the Avengers manage to fit the Stones to it that they've rescued from throughout time. Unfortunately, using it costs Hulk his arm and his healing factor can't regrow it.

Thanks to another casting call leak suggesting Marvel were looking for amputees and short people in London, someone else postulated that Hulk actually gets an arm rebuilt on Nidavellir.

This sounds like logical assumption at work. We all know about the Professor Hulk rumours that came out of early concept art and the damage to Thanos when he used the Gauntlet suggests it would be difficult for anyone else to use it. Hulk being the strongest makes him the most sensible candidate.

A fake arm just wouldn't work logistically in terms of him transforming. Would it be permanently Banner sized and leave Hulk with a puny arm? Or would it be massive and impossible for Banner to drag around?
