2. Wolverine Is Involved

The Rumour

Could Hugh Jackman be about to bring his Wolverine to the MCU with a secret cameo in Avengers: Endgame? According to some eagle-eyed fans, he let that cameo slip with a cheeky Instagram hashtag on this post...

Naturally, that got lots of people excited for him dusting off his claws for an Endgame cameo.

Someone also changed his Wikipedia to add Endgame to his CV...

Response:

It would be awesome, but it's still hard to see how Disney could have had the time to sort it out with the merger still not complete. It's not completely impossible, of course, and it would be the BEST way for Disney to announce the arrival of the X-Men, but it may be more wishful thinking than a real possibility.

Interestingly though, Jackman spoke in the wake of Logan (and his retirement) on the only thing that would bring him back:

"The Avengers would prove too much to turn down. Because I always love the idea of [Wolverine] within that dynamic, with the Hulk obviously, with Iron Man, but there are a lot of smarter people with MBAs who can't figure that out [laughter]. You never know. At the moment, honestly, if I really did have them there, I probably wouldn't have said this is the last."
