Avengers Endgame: 15 Under-Appreciated Moments (That Deserve More Love)

5. Tony NOT Forgiving Steve (Until He Did)

It was deeply satisfying to see that the events of Civil War weren't entirely glossed over when Steve Rogers and Tony Stark finally got their long-awaited reunion in Endgame. While Steve wasn't unjustified and Tony wasn't blameless, in the end it was Tony Stark who had the right of it, with his prediction of a final, world-ending attack coming from outer space coming true.

Not to mention the fact that Steve hiding Bucky's role in the murder of Tony's parents fuelled their violent face-off at the end of Civil War, giving Tony another grievance to pour out when they finally met up again. His desperately angry, uncharitable "I told you so" was cathartic, because the rift between Avengers played a part in Thanos's success, and it couldn't be fixed so easily.

This hateful moment made their eventual reconciliation (5 years later) all the more meaningful, given time to heal and a new sense of determination to fix what was broken - not just the world post-Thanos snap, but the titular team, as well, with Tony Stark handing Steve Rogers the shield for one last mission for both heroes.
