Avengers Endgame: 15 Under-Appreciated Moments (That Deserve More Love)

14. Natasha's Family

While Black Widow's arc definitely deserved more development than it got, there were small moments in the film that did well to emphasise why her sacrifice for the Avengers meant so much.

The film showed Natasha to be forever devoted to saving the world and the known universe, their five year time skip opening with her still doing her work as an Avenger, more actively than it seemed Steve Rogers was.

Her admission that The Avengers were all she had was further compounded by the fact that she didn't even known her father's own name. And while Clint Barton was a big part of that, he wasn't the only reason she was willing to sacrifice herself, nor was his friendship the only thing she was trying to preserve in bringing him back.

A little of this is seen in her devotion to S.H.I.E.L.D. and Nick Fury in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but it's clear that The Avengers had become a family for her in a way that S.H.I.E.L.D. had never achieved.

Natasha Romanoff in Endgame is the heart and soul of The Avengers, more than anyone, and she had no qualms sacrificing for that family, knowing they'd save the world.
