Avengers Endgame: 15 Under-Appreciated Moments (That Deserve More Love)
12. Bruce Banner Half-Heartedly Hulking Out
An utterly hilarious scene, but forgotten amidst the 3-hour kerfuffle of epic, is "Professor Hulk" Bruce Banner watching his 2012 self destroy/save a good chunk of Manhattan, and his own "meh" efforts at seeming like he was rampaging, which he himself found gratuitous.
There's not much to say about this scene, really. It's one of the many scenes making fun of, with great love and affection, the events of Marvel's first big team-up film, and highlights just how much of a difference seven (plus five) years makes.
Professor Hulk as a whole is a hilarious concept that just makes sense, because there's not much else you can do with a character whose whole shtick is getting mad and getting stronger, and it's clear that Bruce's strength isn't diminished by his newfound peace of mind.
Seeing that strength used to kind of halfheartedly throw some debris around, rip his clothes, and sigh about it, trying to throw suspicion off of an unusually chill Hulk, is just icing on top of the Marvel fan love fest that is Endgame.
