Avengers Endgame: 15 Under-Appreciated Moments (That Deserve More Love)

7. The Death Of Thanos's Army (Mirroring The Deaths In Infinity War)

While Tony Stark's snap and his immortal one-liner are rightfully appreciated, what's less mentioned is the fact that the deaths of Thanos's army, especially that of his Black Order, very strongly, if not exactly, resemble the positions in which the Avengers were lost in Infinity War.

Ebony Maw falls in a manner reminiscent to Bucky Barnes, his stumble turning into a cloud of dust as he walks towards the screen. Proxima Midnight holds Corvus Glaive the way the Scarlet Witch held Vision as she fell to dust. Others in Thanos's army stumbles the way Wakandan warriors stumbled as the full effect of the snap was felt in Infinity War.

Most of all, the lone, lost expression Thanos has as he watches people turn to dust around him, is reminiscent of when Okoye, as well as Steve Rogers, watched many in their ranks crumble to dust in the previous film.

It's a triumphant moment, yet the way it focuses on Thanos before he himself fades away makes the audience feel the full force of his defeat, and it ends the villain's journey nicely.
