Avengers: Endgame - 25 WTF Moments

19. "Hello I'm Captain Marvel, Goodbye Forever"

To be fair, Captain Marvel doesn't even get a full hello in Endgame. She just sort of turns up with Tony Stark and Nebula on her back and tells the Avengers what she intends to do to Thanos. Thor seems to think this is the first time he's met her, despite the fact that he's definitely met her before. It's all very confusing and inelegant, to be honest.

Then after the first encounter with Thanos and the time jump (and a great new haircut), Carol Danvers (who has by now completely abandoned her Kree name) basically takes herself out of the film entirely because the rest of the universe needs her help too. After being told by the film-makers that they'd worked in a means to equal out her power so that she isn't just a walking nuke, to see them simply make her leave wasn't exactly the most subtle of solutions.

For some reason, the heroes then never bother contacting her to let her know the plan, despite how valuable someone as powerful as her would be in pretty much every single scenario that could arise.
