Avengers: Endgame - Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

30. The Black Order

Avengers Infinity War Loki Black Order
Marvel Studios

As expected, when Thanos comes back for the final fight, he doesn't come alone, bringing the entire Chitauri force he can muster (which he didn't deem worthwhile in Infinity War for some reason) and his Outriders. He also brings back the Black Order to add some heavy artillery to the final fight and a focal point slightly more elevated than the thousands of mooks being indiscriminately killed.

Each of the four also gets a moment in that battle, though they range in type. Cull Obsidian is screwed a little as his moment amounts to being stabbed lots and then stamped on by Giant-Man, but Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight get a touching farewell in the background (she cradles her dead husband as they're dusted) and we see Ebony Maw almost appealing to Thanos in pain as he turns to dust too.

The Maw also appears in the 2014 sequences, which is obviously a retcon, but his malice towards Nebula, who he sees as betraying

29. Hank Pym

Marvel Studios

He's not in it very long, but Michael Douglas' Hank Pym does appear twice. The second time is completely throw-away, as he appears at Tony Stark's memorial (presumably having put his distaste for the Stark family aside to pay respects) but before we get there, we meet him once more in the past.

When Cap and Tony head back to 1970, we meet a de-aged version of Pym for the second time in this franchise, only this time he came with the luxurious curtains of a young buck cutting his way through the scientific community. That's about all he does - has good hair - but it's really, really good, so he deserves his spot.
