38. Bucky

It's good to see Bucky back and to see his dynamic with Sam Wilson teased, considering their upcoming TV show on Disney+, but he also doesn't really have a lot to do in the film.

He's seen during the final battle, though, and apparently his machine guns are way more valuable in such battle situations than actual superpowers because he's basically the only hero who doesn't get his ass handed to him. He just stands next to Rocket mowing down enemies, seemingly untouchable.

37. Red Skull

Having turned up out of the blue for Infinity War once more after disappearing for almost two full MCU Phases, Red Skull returned as Natasha and Clint Barton went to Vormir to retrieve the Soul Stone.

The character design elevates him considerably (as do the effects) and the fact that he basically facilitates one of the film's biggest shocks boosts his influence as well. And it the drama of that moment wouldn't be the same without Red Skull turning Nat and Clint's chipper mood against them with a devastating "well, actually!"

And then there's the fact that he reveals a hint about Nat's past that will presumably be built on further with the Black Widow prequel.
