2. Did Captain America Die?

Everyone was certain that Captain America was a goner. Ever since the Infinity War trailer dropped that showed him one on one with Thanos, fans had started preparing their eulogies for the superhero, with his demise seemingly all but being confirmed by Chris Evans constantly saying how he was done with the character.

Even Endgame seemed to build up to this, featuring yet another one on one with Cap and Thanos, with the former being beaten to a pulp and having his shield decimated. He's prepared to die, but is saved at the last minute by the newly-revived Avengers brought into the battle by Doctor Strange.

In the end, Cap survives, with it being Tony who's the main casualty at the end of the day (which admittedly makes way more sense considering his arc over the past decade). Instead of going out in the blaze of glory, Cap exits the series in a far happier way, going back in time to live a full life with Peggy Carter, and finally getting the dance he so wanted.
