Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Characters That Might Beat Thanos

1. Whoever Has The Infinity Gauntlet

A big thing I've been ignoring this whole time is the fact that Thanos doesn't actually has the Infinity Gauntlet yet. Sure, he has the glove, but that only makes him a threat on the planetary level. He's no cosmic level threat until he has at least one of the stones in his possession. Of course he has to get the fully powered gauntlet at some point in the two films since it would be massively disappointing if we didn't get to see a fully powered Thanos after all these years, but that doesn't mean he's going to have it all to himself forever. In fact I could see multiple members of the Avengers getting their hands on the gauntlet, but that doesn't mean we're going to see a repeat of Guardians of the Galaxy where the heroes just steal the villain's weapon and kill him with it. Instead I think we'll see just the raw power of what the glove is capable of when put in the hands of someone who really can't use it. Imagine the scenes from Age of Ultron where the Scarlet Witch implanted thoughts into the Avenger's heads, only in reverse. Everyone getting scenes of their perfect lives and all their wishes coming true and being forced to give it up because their perfect Universe would come at the cost of the destruction of their current Universe. Queue the original Incredible Hulk theme as we see Bruce Banner being torn away from his life as just a regular scientist with a family along with every other heart wrenching scenes imaginable until the group finally gets the resolve to use the glove's powers to stop Thanos once and for all.
