Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Characters That Might Beat Thanos

6. The Living Tribunal

Up until this point I've talked about characters that have at least appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in some way or form, but that kind of changes with the Living Tribunal. A truly omnipotent character, the Living Tribunal is a multiverse spanning entity that protects the order of every Marvel Universe. Something as small as the world ending wouldn't be enough to even catch his interest in passing, but an Infinity Gauntlet powered Thanos wiping out half of the Universe might be enough to cause him to act. While we haven't seen the Living Tribunal in any of the movies, he might have been hinted at in the movie Ant-Man in some way. During the final shrinking scene of the movie, just as Ant-Man is passing into the Quantum Realm you can catch a glimpse of something vaguely human shaped in the madness around him. While this isn't necessarily the Living Tribunal, it at least hints to the idea that there are things in-between reality that we'll likely see when Doctor Strange finally comes to theatres. As for the Living Tribunal's powers, there are simply too many to really say: he is completely immune to anything the gauntlet can dish out, and can revert any damage done by the gauntlet with a single word. Even more impressive is his ability to completely negate the gauntlet's power forever if he so well chooses. In all honesty, he's probably too silly a character to actually make it into the films just on the basis of how overpowered he is, but the Ant-Man film and likely the Doctor Strange film at least give him an opening, however unlikely that opening may be.
